I was going to go to a fast food burger place but saw this place across the street so made my way here. I was hoping to get loco moco but they only had chicken. I went with the teriyaki chicken stir fry with rice and macaroni salad (a staple of Hawaiian fast food). The stir fry was pretty good with a variety of veggies mixed in. The flavor was not too sweet, just right. The salad had, I think pepper, so it was different than other Hawaiian places that pretty much only use mayo.
Simple but good. I always get the Kalua pork and smother it in teriyaki sauce. I especially like the Mac salad; again add teriyaki sauce. The atmosphere is cold, but so is the space physically. I guess the high ceilings make it seem really large and empty. Give them a try, the food is good.
Improvements over the last few months have renewed my faith in a fast lunch! I am able to enjoy my lunch knowing they have really picked up the pace.
